Jen, Kevin,and Katelynn: Laguna Beach Family Session

This was an extra special family session because in addition to getting some family portraits, we were also commemorating baby Katelynn's upcoming first birthday! She was such a sweetheart and a real trooper...waves and sand can be pretty scary if you are not used to them. She has the cutest serious expressions. We topped off the session with a cake smash on the bluff. Thanks guys, I can't wait to shoot the big birthday bash!

Shawn at downtown Capistrano

Shawn is a good friend of mine, and it was so much fun to photograph her in SJC. Shawn is a mom of two little guys as well, so it was nice to hang out and take a bit of a break. Moms are hardly ever in photos, especially moms like us that love photography, so I think this is a great idea! All moms should get photos of themselves once in a while!

Balboa Island Family Session

This was a whirlwind family session with my friend Shelly's family...we covered some serious ground on Balboa Island! The little ones did so great to trek from the ferry to get ice cream, I hope it was worth it:). June Gloom has definitely been living up to it's name lately, but it was still beautiful!

I Heart Faces Photowalk 2010

On Saturday I went to the I Heart Faces Photowalk. It was great! Walks took place all around the country, and ours was held in Dana Point. Women came from all over Southern California. So nice to meet other photographers, especially ones that I have been following online for a while!

Maddie and Drew

Oso Creek was so beautiful last week! I was so excited when Maddie and Drew's mom chose this spot to do their session. Not only was it gorgeous, but it gave me a great opportunity to practice what I had learned at our last MWAC meetup. Maddie and Drew were so much fun to photograph, I've never seen so much energy in a photo shoot. I think the two of them ran everywhere we went. They are so sweet together. I hope Mom and Dad got some good sleep out of them that night! This is a large post because there were so many images I loved.

Mom's With A Camera at Oso Creek

This week we had an awesome MWAC meeting with professional photographer Jenny Stafford from Red Loft Studios. We did a practice shoot at Oso Creek in Mission Viejo and she was amazing. We all learned so much about posing, camera settings, and finding good light. It also didn't hurt that we all went out to dinner and had a Mom's Night Out afterwards:).
