SideKick with Kamee June

I finally was able to attend a workshop with Kamee June, one of my favorite photographers. I have been wanting to attend a Kamee June workshop for a long time, and when she launched her SideKicks I was finally able to get that opportunity. I learned so much about doing a family shoot, Kamee is amazing. A big thank you to Amanda for being so nice and helpful, and also to Katrina, who did such a beautiful job styling the session. Also, a shout out to Tom's Farms for letting us use their grounds for our session!

This gorgeous family was a dream to shoot. Cutest little girls ever. That Baby Ruby was not good for my baby fever...AT ALL!

Treasure Island Family Session: The M Family

High tide, big surf, and wind was waiting to greet us as I met up with the M family for a family session in Laguna Beach. The serene cove was a bit wilder than normal, but they were troopers (they even got a bit wet!). We took some photos on the beach, then played a bit on the park grounds in front of the Montage.

Suzette & Costel

Once I am in business and have done dozens of sessions, I don't know if I'll ever top the excitement of this one. Suzette and Costel got engaged minutes before we started our session! They were so happy and excited about their engagement and their little boy that is on the way, and it really shows in all of their photos. Everyone that has seen their photos remarks about how happy and in love they look. They are going to have a very busy and exciting year, and I wish them the best!

Lisa, Daniel, Samantha, and Baby!

Lisa and Daniel's new baby girl is due to arrive in just a couple more weeks! I was so excited to meet up with them on the Balboa Peninsula to take some photos of their family. Their little girl Samantha is adorable and so full of energy. I thought my boys had tons of energy, but Sam would definitely give them a run for their money :).

Katelynn turns one!

I recently had the honor of photographing Katelynn's very first birthday celebration. This family was featured in a blog post last month, where she was warming up for her party with a cake smash on the beach! It was a very elegant princess-themed event! A double cake smash!

These two cuties just celebrated their first birthdays. We decided to document the occasion with a cake smash! It was so funny to watch two babies in a row do a cake smash...they had very different M.O.'s! Ty loved smearing the frosting and finger painting with it. Ava was a girl with a plan, she took her cake eating very seriously! Thanks to both moms who dressed their little ones so nicely in ties and pearls!

Jen, Kevin,and Katelynn: Laguna Beach Family Session

This was an extra special family session because in addition to getting some family portraits, we were also commemorating baby Katelynn's upcoming first birthday! She was such a sweetheart and a real trooper...waves and sand can be pretty scary if you are not used to them. She has the cutest serious expressions. We topped off the session with a cake smash on the bluff. Thanks guys, I can't wait to shoot the big birthday bash!
